Hey! I'm Monica.
I live in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where my husband of 16 years and I are creating a life we love, using our gifts and homeschooling our two special boys, ages eight and three
The best way to know if I’m the coach for you is to talk with me. I am a renaissance woman of varied experiences, talents, and interests. I promise I will surprise you. You can begin that conversation here, but read on if you'd like to know a little about what you're in for.
WHERE I'VE BEEN
I know identity crisis, midlife/quarter-life crisis, faith crisis, healing crisis, “conspiracy theories,” autoimmune disease, career change, startup life, business closings, paranormal activity, pregnancy, miscarriage, birth, parenting, marriage drama, family drama, unschooling, and “gifted” kids.
I know perfectionism that will literally give you an ulcer.
Anxiety you don’t recognize because you’re a “high-functioning” overachiever.
People-pleasing that will knock you entirely out of yourself.
Religious devotion that will do the same.
“Mental toughness” and “mind-over-matter” that will make you completely numb to your body’s needs.
Shame that will keep you living in misalignment for so long you won’t even know it’s there.
The deepest kind of depression.
The kind of fear that will keep you alive even in your deepest depression because you’re just so terrified of death... and a hundred other kinds.
No one’s life is a cakewalk, and mine hasn’t been either.
I have worked through all of these things. I have been healing all these things. I've experimented with different healing elements over the years, but the work I have done in my mind and heart is what gave me the traction I needed to move forward.
Thanks to that same work, I've also learned what lights me up. I know who I am, what I want, where I'm going, and how to get there. And I'm enjoying this beautiful, ever-evolving work-in-progress that is me and my life.
Oversharing on the internet isn't usually my thing, but I wanted you to know these things. If you recognize yourself in anything I’ve been through, I want you to know that it is possible to navigate these paths - many of them converging at once - and come through stronger, clearer, and more loving.
WHAT I BELIEVE IN
I believe in divine guidance, purposeful creation, and intelligent design.
I believe in freedom, respect, and self-compassion.
I believe in personal growth, wellness, and betterment.
I believe in the wisdom of the earth and indigenous ancestral ways.
I believe in beauty, and that it is as powerful as strength.
I believe the future is WE: men and women in sacred collaboration. I believe in healing our inner divine masculine and divine feminine, and that polarity is not the same as duality.
I believe everyone is doing the best they can with what they have, and that "evil" people are simply and deeply confused.
I believe in bodily autonomy and that our bodies and our humanity are sacred. I believe our bodies hold divine wisdom and our intuition, magic.
I AM PASSIONATE about birth and the fourth trimester. I believe the way we enter this world is a spiritual experience for mother and child, to be handled with absolute reverence and awe.
I know what it takes to create a life in alignment with your values when the mainstream isn’t. It's taken me many years to write an "about me" like the one above.
One of my favorite get-to-know you questions is "What has always been true of you?" It's a beautiful and more approachable version of a "Who am I?" question. Through all my roles in life and business, I have always been an advisor, a refiner, an innovator with a thousand ideas. I have always been a writer. I’m the one my friends tap for business, style, cooking, and general wisdom. I love transformations, disruptive startups, and Cinderella stories. I crave mocktails, sunshine, topography, and crazy-out-of-nowhere thunderstorms. I love to laugh and make others laugh. And I love to sing and dance much more than I usually admit.
Do you ever ask yourself that - “Who am I?” Maybe you’re also a multipotentialite, polymath, jack-of-all trades renaissance-type and your life looks something of a mishmash like mine. Maybe you’ve been on a path that’s bored you for the last ten years - or one that just doesn’t get you firing on all cylinders. Maybe you’re a stay-at-home mom for whom that question is only wondered silently in the middle of the night. Who am I? What do I want? Boy do I get it.
If these thoughts resonate with you, then you are my people. Follow me on Facebook or sign up for my email list (scroll down) and let’s keep in touch. I’ve traveled this path, and I’m here to throw you a line.
